Medicare
How Medicare Works. Medicare
is divided into two parts. The first of these parts, known as
Medicare Part A, is a trust fund which pays for hospital bills
incurred by senior citizens and disabled individuals. It is anticipated
that unless action is taken, the Part A trust fund will incur
a budget shortfall of $90 - $120 billion over the next seven years.
